Making these Homemade Soft Pretzels was fun, the kneading is just so relaxing (I love kneading so don’t be surprised.) and then comes the shaping and proofing. The first time I made pretzels the outcome was a complete fail!
Egyptian Fino Bread or as some call it long bread rolls, are soft, light, and are perfect for making sandwiches. This bread tastes so good plain, in fact, I sometimes grab one roll and dip it in a glass of warm milk and it is still satisfying.
Brioche is a French bread and is enjoyed by many. Classic Brioche consist of eggs, butter, yeast, and flour, that sounds like a simple to make bread, but there is a catch, it’s time! Making brioche consumes time and please don’t panic, kneading takes 10 minutes, it is the proofing that takes almost 12 hours.
And by that title, I don’t mean that your French croissant is going to be ready in an hour, although this is something I’d like to work on maybe in the future. However, for now, I can tell you that you don’t have to proof the croissant all night in the fridge.
There is something interesting about this Indian flatbread Pulka and some call it Phulka. It is really soft in texture and takes less time to prepare, it is healthier for you, tastes great especially with gravies, and puffs up really nicely without adding yeast or baking powder.
In my effort to fill my blog with the most delicious, easy to make, and elegant dishes from around the world, today I thought of presenting Simit, which is similar to bagels except it’s not boiled before baking and is softer in texture.
