🥘 INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED

You will need simple ingredients to make this delicious Chicken Noodle Soup at home. Let’s look at the main ingredients in more detail.

You can scroll down to the recipe card for further details and instructions.

Chicken: You’ll need some chicken for this recipe that we’ll shred and add to the soup. Rotisserie chicken is a great option for tons of flavor! This recipe can also use some baked chicken thighs or chicken breast.

Noodles: You can use your preferred noodles, but egg noodles add that classic flavor. If you don’t have egg noodles, you can use any pasta you like such as farfalle, rotini, or even elbow macaroni.

Broth: A good chicken broth will give it depth and make it taste even better. Look for a chicken broth that’s low in sodium and darker in color. You can also use some chicken bouillon or make chicken broth at home.

Veggies: We’ll also be adding some veggies to make it more nutritious and add more flavor. This recipe calls for some carrots, bell peppers, and onions, but you can add other veggies you like as well.

💭 COOKING TIPS

  • Depending on how spicy you want the soup to be, you can reduce the white and black pepper. I have used more in the video since this is how we like it at home.
  • You can go for green or yellow bell pepper or a mix.
  • I have used low-sodium chicken stock.
  • You can use ¼ cup noodles if you don’t want the soup to turn out thick.
  • If you have chicken bouillon, then use one and a half cubes and dissolve it in 3 cups of boiling water, then use it in the recipe instead of the chicken broth.
