Basbousa
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: Arabic
Servings: 8
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup fine semolina
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk can use heavy cream or evaporated milk for richer basbousa
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Whole Almonds for garnish
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C – 356F.
  2. In a bowl add all the ingredients and whisk until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture in a non-stick or greased pan. Garnish with almond.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Let it cool and enjoy with hot cup of coffee.
