¾cupbuttermilkin case you don’t have buttermilk mix ¾ cup milk with 2 tablespoon white vinegar and keep aside for 3 minutes.
In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Keep aside.
In a different bowl, beat the egg, buttermilk, vanilla, and oil. Add this wet mixture to the dry and do not over mix. You may see few lumps but that’s alright.
Heat your waffle maker. Spray your waffle maker with oil, then pour the batter in the waffle maker. Usually, it is best to not fill the waffle maker and keep around an inch away from the edges since it is going to spread when you close the waffle maker.
When the waffles are done serve with your favorite syrup or topping.
To store the waffles, place in a Ziploc bag and freeze.
