1. Add butter to a baking dish. Place it in a preheated oven.
2. In a small bowl, add drained canned peaches. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
3. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a different mixing bowl, mix well.
4. Add the egg and the milk to the dry ingredients.
5. Pour the batter over the melted butter.
6. Add the peaches with their juices over the batter.
7. Place the baking pan in the oven.
