Quick Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate is very comforting to me, I can easily indulge myself in a sinful way when it comes chocolate. I have to admit that I’m not crazy about some types of it, like very dark chocolates or bitter ones. However, we all have our own preferences.
I enjoy making my own chocolate bars, cakes and Ice creams, but mousse is a different story all together. My first experience with chocolate mousse was heavenly, this may not make any sense to some but it tasted sexy, yes, it did! It was smooth and silky, almost like having a piece of cloud in your mouth, it teases and touches your senses, leaving you wanting more.
Chocolate mousse is heavy but I got a nice trick to keep things in control. I’ve omit the egg yolks and have poured the mousse in small shot glasses, believe me one shot glass of chocolate mousse (about 4 full tablespoons) is enough . And I’ve even calculated the calories for you 😉
One more thing, please choose the chocolate you like for this recipe, do not go for bitter if you don’t like it, don’t go for dark if not fond of it, the cream in this recipe will add flavor to the mousse but the main taste will be of the chocolate you used.

Chocolate Mousse
Serves 4

7 tablespoon semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoon warm heavy cream
5 tablespoon whipped heavy cream
– Melt chocolate in microwave for 40 seconds, take it out and stir for few seconds, if not completely melted, microwave for another 12 seconds.
– Add the warm heavy cream to the melted chocolate and stir until well combined.
– Add the whipped cream to the mixture and mix by folding the mixture gently.
– Pour or spoon in the shot glasses.
– Chill in the fridge for two hours.
– Add cream or shredded coconut on top.

*There is no sugar in this recipe because the semi sweet chocolate chips have enough sugar, You can add sugar if the chocolate you are using has little or no sugar.
