Fish with Butter Sauce

fish butter sauceIt’s amazing how much flavor the fish got from the few spices used in this recipe. Not only that, but although I didn’t use eggs yet whoever tasted this dish thought I did!

I still don’t know how that extra rich and delectable flavor came along, maybe you can tell me 🙂

2 Fish filet

Black pepper

Cayenne pepper

Salt to taste

1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 cup all purpose flour

Your choice of vegetables (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

1 Mix spices, salt and flour.

2 Coat the fish with the spiced flour.

3 Heat frying pan and add 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon oil.
4 Fry the filet on medium heat. Will take around 3 minutes on each side depending on how thick is the cut.

5 Remove the fish, and sauté the vegetables for 3 minutes, season with salt and black pepper. When cooked put aside.

To make the sauce

– Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch in 1/2 cup water.

– Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan, when it melts add the dissolved corn starch.
– Stir until the sauce thickens. If you want the sauce thicker, add another 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch. Season with salt.

– Serve the fish along with the vegetables and sauce immediately to enjoy the crunch of the fish.
