Chocolate Oats Muffins

Makes 12 muffins. 86 calories per muffin.

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup quick oats

1 packed cup chopped apple (peeled)

1/4 cup yogurt

7 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup unpacked brown sugar

1 egg

1 egg white


– Preheat oven to 350F/180C.

– Sift flour with salt, baking powder, baking soda, and keep aside.

– In a blender add the rest of ingredients and blend well. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix gently to combine. Pour in muffin or cupcake liners and bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the muffin comes out clean.


** Do not remove the muffins from liner unless it is completely cool, or the muffin will not come out in whole.

      Hi jessy, yes you can use applesauce instead of eggs but the texture won’t be as fluffy! One egg is equal to 1/4 cup.
