Chocolate Oats Muffins – No Oil or Butter

Chocolate oats muffins

If you are trying to eat healthy, and look after your caloric intake, but love chocolate, then this Chocolate Oats Muffins are for you.

With only 86 calories per muffin and with no oil or butter added, you my friend will be glad to have these in your fridge to munch on every time that sweet craving hits you.

Chocolaty, moist, delicious, and healthy muffins, is all you need when you are on the go or just need to indulge but without adding more calories to your diet.

You can sneak two muffins in your child's lunch box and not feel guilty about it.

 

Chocolate Oats Muffins

Makes 12 muffins. 86 calories per muffin.

½ cup all purpose flour

½ cup quick oats

1 packed cup chopped apple (peeled)

¼ cup yogurt

7 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

¾ cup unpacked brown sugar

1 egg

1 egg white

- Preheat oven to 350F/180C.

- Sift flour with salt, baking powder, baking soda, and keep aside.

- In a blender add the rest of ingredients and blend well. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix gently to combine. Pour in muffin or cupcake liners and bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the muffin comes out clean.

 

** Do not remove the muffins from liner unless it is completely cool, or the muffin will not come out in whole.

    just 86 calorie per muffin!! wow..couldn't be healthier and they look very moist considering no oil at all.

    These chocolate oats muffins turned out beautifully even if they didn't have butter or oil in them. A healthier version! Yum! 😀

      Hi jessy, yes you can use applesauce instead of eggs but the texture won't be as fluffy! One egg is equal to 1/4 cup.
