To me living a healthy life is not an option but a must. I like how I feel after a hard workout, even a brisk walk can bring a smile to my face.
You might have noticed through my blog, that I do not stop myself from enjoying the food I like, but have adjusted most of the recipes to meet my daily caloric and nutrition intake.
However, there are times when I just want to grab something sweet and healthy without cooking it.
I have recently come across Caramel Nut Blast Balance Bar, it has a layer of caramel, peanuts, and topped by chocolate.
The caramel tasted really good and the peanuts were crunchy. I like the combination since somehow it did not let the protein taste kick in as fast as in other protein bars. My guess, the gooeyness of the caramel and crunchiness of the peanuts worked on covering that up well.
My mouth was a bit dry after having the bar, (nothing alarming) could be just me, but after having a sip of water that was gone.
I would love to have few more peanuts in this bar though, but overall, it is far much better than few I have tried in the past. Caramel Nut Blast has 210 calories and 14gm of protein. It made me happy and took care of my cravings.
One thing though, do not eat it from the fridge right away, the caramel will be hard and you won’t enjoy it. If you’re not used to or never had an energy or protein bar before, don’t mistake this bar with your regular chocolate peanuts bars like snickers.
