Sometimes you just want to take a moment and think, how can the simplest things in life bring you joy and fulfillment. What I’m sharing today is a recipe for Hummus without Tahini that calls for the minimum ingredients and shortest time to make. it is extremely simple, quick, and the flavor is so good you’ll keep asking for more.
Hummus without Tahini.
Previously I have shared a recipe for Hummus with Tahini ,it was smooth and a little nutty because of the Tahini (Sesame paste). I realize that some people can be allergic to sesame, or may not be able to find it where they live, so I adjusted my recipe to satisfy everyone.
This recipe of Hummus without Tahini, has the same smooth texture and I promise you will not miss the tahini. You can use hummus as a spread in your sandwich, or enjoy it as a dip.

As for my recipe, here you go!
- 1 ½ cup canned garbanzo (make sure it’s not flavored)
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tablespoon water
- In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve in a plate and drizzle with olive oil.
- Tip: If you want to add some heat to your hummus, sprinkle some red chili powder when serving.
