Today I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my first cookbook, Best Low Calorie Recipes from Around the World. It’s going to be available for purchase on July 1st, 2012 in print and eBook formats.
The cookbook contains low calorie dishes and proper meal portions/servings. You are going to find recipes from different parts of the world; Italy, Lebanon, China, Japan, India, and more. The dishes look and taste the same as the ones you’re used to but with fewer calories.
Every dish has calculated calories per serving and a photo to show how the final product will/should look. The method is written in a straightforward manner to save time. Here I would like to thank Kimberley Jace & Pamela Guerrieri from Proofed to Perfection, for editing the book and making it better.
The reason behind writing this cookbook is my friends. They are enthusiastic about losing and/or maintaining their weights, and when I invite them over for a meal, I can see their struggles to resist eating freely. However, the one who drilled the idea in my head was a friend who has been buying packaged low calorie meals which are limited in variety, expensive, and every package was for one serving, so no chance of sharing it.
After long thoughts and discussions with friends and family, I have decided to cook low calorie dishes and experiment on my sister and me. We did not workout but continued doing normal house chores. The weight reduction was great but there were other bounces as well. Our complexions cleared, energy level was at its best, sleep pattern improved, and we felt lighter all the time. We didn’t feel hungry even when we skipped the healthy snacks (fruits) between meals. We kept track of our progress and did not include working-out to avoid the possible weight increase from muscle weight.
Now here is the best part, you don’t have to buy food substitutes. I’ve used butter, olive oil, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, beef, chicken, and eggs while putting together this cookbook. However, if you decide to use food substitutes, the number of calories will drop even more. I in no way guarantee or claim that everyone will get the same results.
