Hummus With Tahini

Chickpeas are awesome, there are countless delicious dishes which include it, I will try to post as many as I can in the coming days since I’m sure many out there love chickpeas too. Behind each dish or recipe there is a story but I’m not going to bore you with that, all I’m going to say is that this dish came from the Middle East.


Ok, so let’s get started!


Ingredients  

1  Can chickpeas or 2 Cups
4  Tablespoons olive oil
1/2  Cup tahini (sesame seed sauce/paste)
2  Cloves garlic minced
Juice of one lemon
Salt to taste
4  Tablespoons water
Paprika for garnishing

  1. In a blender or food processor, add all the ingredients and mix for at least 3 minutes. The paste should be smooth with no lumps
  2. Pour the hummus in your serving plate, drizzle olive oil on top.
  3. Sprinkle paprika over the hummus and serve.

TIP: If you like your hummus thick, reduce the water and olive oil.
