I am in love with spices, I even add them in some of my desserts, I think of them as magical spells. However, I have come across many dishes that had one spice if any, yet the flavor was mind blowing. It all depends on how the ingredients are cooked and how much of their flavor you are able to enhance. The dish I’m sharing today has a humble list of ingredients, but the combination … Well, that you have to try.
Cooking shrimps this way gives it a grilled taste as well. This dish is very popular in Italy and although it’s not time consuming nor difficult it is considered sophisticated. This dish is an appetizer so you can serve it cold or hot.
– 1 tablespoon butter
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
– Salt to taste
– Juice of one lemon
– 2 chopped garlic
– 12 cleaned shrimps (can use precooked)
1- In a hot pan, add butter and olive oil. Reduce heat to medium.
2- Add the parsley and garlic, stir for 1 minute.
3- Add the shrimps. If you are using precooked shrimps, cook them for 2 minutes on each side. If using fresh shrimps then cook them for 3 minutes on each side.
4- Add salt and lemon. Stir for 1 minute then turn off the heat.
5- Serve with garlic bread or plain bread.*
* When you are done cooking, you’ll notice that you also have a sauce as well which you can spread on the plain bread or dip your shrimps in.
