This is basic chocolate cookies recipe, crunchy from the outside and heavenly from the inside. Although chocolate is the main ingredient, you can still enhance the flavor by adding cinnamon or through in some orange zest.
– 1 cup flour (cake flour)
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 egg white
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/4 cup butter
– 3 tablespoon coco powder
– Pinch of salt
1- Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and coco powder together, or mix with a fork. Set aside.
2- Beat the butter then add sugar, vanilla and egg white. Beat until creamy in texture.
3- While mixing, add the flour to the butter-egg mixture slowly.
4- Take one tablespoon from the mixture and place it in the baking pan.
5- In a preheated oven, at 350F/180C/ gas mark 4, bake the cookies for 11- 13 minutes. The cookies will feel soft and fluffy when in the oven, but once it cools down it will become mild firm.**
* You can add 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, or crushed pecan to this recipe
in step number 3. Mix with a spatula.
** Do not over bake these cookies, they will taste bitter if over baked. Try the
cookies after 13 minutes of baking.
